Bubayero College has officially commissioned its newly constructed and equipped laboratory complex, representing a significant investment of N15 million in student education and training facilities. The state-of-the-art complex features multiple specialised training rooms designed to provide students with hands-on experience using industry-standard medical equipment.
The new facility includes advanced anatomical training models, including dual-sex torsos with removable organs, pediatric and adult intubation training mannequins, breast examination models, and wall-mounted photographic charts for enhanced visual learning. Additionally, the complex features include colour-coded pedal waste management systems and modern storage facilities for training materials.
“This investment demonstrates our commitment to providing our students with the best possible learning environment,” explained the Provost during the opening ceremony. “These facilities will ensure our graduates are familiar with modern medical equipment and procedures before they enter professional practice.”
The laboratory complex also includes designated office spaces for clinical instructors, addressing previous infrastructure gaps identified in our recent CHPRBN accreditation assessment. This improvement will enhance the quality of supervision and coordination of practical training sessions.
Students have already begun utilising the new facilities, with many expressing excitement about the enhanced learning opportunities. The college plans to continue expanding its infrastructure to maintain its position as a leading institution in community health education.
